'President read from the chair the first section of the seventh chapter of the Statute, declaring how much it importeth the good of the Society, at the ensuing election on Tuesday 30th instant, to elect such persons into the council as are most likely to attend the business of the Society; and out of whom the fittest choice may be made of a President, and Officers, for the following year. '

Proposed from the chair and elected by ballot, Auditors of the accounts of the last year, on the part of the Society, viz Israel Mauduit Esq, Peter Newcomb MA John Pringle MD Mr Joseph Warner, and Mr Benjamin Wilson.

'A certificate was read, recommending Mr George Wollaston MS Fellow and mathematical Lecturer of Sidney Sussex Colledge in Cambridge, for election into this Society. This certificate was dated at the House of the Royal Society on 11 November 1762 and signed James Burrow, P Davall, J Michell, J Hadley, John Lewis Petit, Nevil Maskelyne, W Heberden, D Wray, and Thomas Birch, and was ordered to be put up in the publick meeting room.

As was likewise another certificate in favour of Andrew Elias Buchner, of the Imperial Court, Gentleman etc etc and President of the Imperial Academy of Naturalists, dated at Novimberg, Hanover, and London, in May, June and November 1762, and signed according to the Statute by Christopher Jacob Trew, Paul Gotlieb Werthof, and John Henry Hampe, three foreign Members; and by Charles Morton, Thomas Birch and Emanuel Mendes da Costa, three English Members of the Society. '
