In letterpress below the engraving is : Reasons in support of the bill for making a new cut from Eau Brink to Lynn in Norfolk for the effectual improvement of theoutfall of the river Ouze and the preservation of the harbout of Lynn. In the year 1720 Mr Kindersley an engineer of the greatest abilities proposed the making a cut across the marshes from Eau Brink to Lynn; the same has been repeatedly recommended by other able engineers and very lately by Mess. Milne, Rennie Golborne, Maxwell, Watte, and Hudson
