The letters demonstrate Higgins' commitment to science outreach and education, particularly in encouraging girls into science, through her guest appearances at schools and colleges.
Higgins' participation in boards, panels, and conferences is well represented.
Some correspondence reflects Higgins' interest in diversity and women in science.
Also included are many letters of reference from Higgins, proposing colleagues and acquitances for promotions, honours, awards and fellowships.
