DescriptionTwelve volumes of scientific letters and papers from various authors containing accounts, observations and theories covering a wide variety of subjects and disciplines. Sent to the Royal Society for discussion and possible publishing. Some items feature original artwork, figures and tables. The coverage of the volumes that make up decade 11 is as follows:

Volume 103: item numbers 28-39, read 11 May 1797 - 14 December 1797
Volume 104: item numbers 40-51, read 21 December 1797 - 8 March 1798
Volume 105: item numbers 52-60, read 24 May 1798 - 28 June 1798
Volume 106: item numbers 61-75, read 24 May 1798 - 28 June 1798
Volume 106a: item numbers 76-96, read 8 November 1798 - 25 April 1799
Volume 107: item numbers 97-115, read 25 April 1799 - 9 January 1800
Volume 108: item numbers 116-135, read 16 January 1800 - 12 June 1800

The dates given correspond to the date that the papers were written/sent by the author. The read date in the description indicates when papers were read at a Royal Society meeting.

Each volume contains a list of contents which provides: a document reference number, author, title, extent, date of reading to the Society and place of publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions' as far as could be determined for each item.
