Description | Monthly meteorological data sheets, February-October 1840. Corrected meteorological results, Form 2 only, with a main table, containing columns of information on: date and Moon; pressure of atmosphere; elasticity of vapour; and temperature (maximum, minimum and mean). A second set of tables, below, presents monthly temperature and pressure in graphical form.
Completed by Lieutenant John Henry Lefroy R.A., Magnetic Observatory, Longwood, St. Helena, with his signature on most sheets.
Each sheet is inscribed: 'Published by Richard & John E. Taylor, Red Lion Court, Fleet Street, London.'; and lower right: 'J. Basire sc.'
