There are no observations for the period 10-19 June, an explanatory note reads: 'The Guage was taken up during this Interval to be cleaned of Barnacles &ca with which it was covered'.

Signed lower right [p.1]: 'Sd. W.T. Lewis Asstt. for Geo. Dawson Harbour Master'.

Inscribed verso [p.2]: 'Genl. Dept. 1840. Fort William 18th November. Copy of the Register of Tidal observations made at Prince of Wales Island during the month of June 1840. No. 11'. In a different hand: 'Recd. via Falmouth 11 Feby. 1841'.
