DescriptionSending a copy of the amount of rainfall at Kendal [Cumbria] recorded by Samuel Marshall, who has tables for the last thirty years. Glyn asks that the copy of his report on draining marshland near Kendal is presented to the Royal Society. It may be interesting to see meteorological observations being made useful in everyday life.

With tables [pp.1-2] headed 'Monthly quantities of Rain fallen in Kendal. Taken by Mr. S. Marshall', January 1829-December 1838. Endorsed [p.4]: 'Rain in Kendal 1829 to 1838'.
