DescriptionDaily meteorological observations at [the Observatory, Port Louis], Mauritius [now the Republic of Mauritius]. Usually three to four readings per day, but with half-hourly observations on solstices. Columns recording day and hour, barometer, difference, sympiesometer, external heat and external cold, rain gauge, winds, and weather. With summary tables at the end of each month.

There is an additional note at the end of December, in pencil: 'Note - the Rain Gauge has been copied wrong & inattentively so that out [?] the sum for the whole year ...45 can be taken...In March also when the dome was carried away in the Lunican [?] the gauge was also damaged'.
