Griffiths on behalf of the Committee asks the Royal Society for the loan of some of their 'scientific treasures'. Describes links between Sir Isaac Newton and Lincolnshire. Requests to borrow the original reflecting telescope of Sir Isaac Newton. Mentions Sir Philip Cunliffe Owen's visit to the School of Science, and informs the Society 'he is sending many of the national treasures from South Kensington'.
