Refers to Buchan's current role as Inspector of the Meteorological Stations in Scotland and his annual salary from the parliamentary grant.Welby informs the Royal Society that their Lordships have no objeciton to the arrangment in which Buchan 'will continue to draw the salary of his Inspectorship besides remuneration as a member of the Council'.
