DescriptionDirected by the Marquis of Salisbury to acknowledges the Secretary's letter regarding an application on behalf of the Council of the Royal Society for assistance from the British government 'on behalf of Professor [Charles Smart] Roy' and Mr [Charles Scott] Sherrington, who have been appointed by the Society to travel to Spain and investigate the outbreak of cholera in the country. Salisbury has sent a dispatch to British ministers in Madrid.
