Enclosed is a typescript copy of a letter from D Stewart, Commissioner's Office, Mombasa, to the Marquess of Lansdowne, dated 26 October 1904, sending copies of correspondence between Principal Veterinary Officer, Mr Flemmer, and Dr Greig and Dr Ross regarding 'the claims' of Mr Egelbracht 'to exterminate the Tsetse fly'. Includes a copy of a letter from E D W Greig, Entebbe to Mr Stordy, dated 22 September 1904.
Enclosed is a telegram from Dr Ross Makindu to Mr R J Stordy, Nairobi dated 17 October 1904: 'As far as known would abolish trypanosomiasis but no experiments have been done with other biting flies'.
Another telegram enclosed from Captain Greig to Mr R J Stordy dated 20 October 1904: 'The result of absolute extermination of glosina palpalis would be that sleeping sickness would cease to spread'.
Enclosed is a letter from R J Stordy, Nairobi, to Sir Donald Stewart, dated 24 October 1904, and copy of a letter from A S Flemmer, Nairobi to Mr Stordy, dated 7 October 1904.
