Description | Relaying instructions given to the Governor of Mauritius to purchase on public account the proprietary interests of Captain Lloyd, the Colonial Surveyor General in his observatory. Grey encloses a list of objects remaining in the observatory that belong to the Society and requests permission, on Captain Lloyd's behalf, to leave these in Mauritius. [Enclosure is present on the separate third page and labelled within the volume as MC/2/242a.]
