Creator | Thorpe; Sir; Thomas Edward (1845-1925); British chemist |
Date | 11 December 1906 |
Description | 'Dear Mr. Harrison, I am much obliged for your letter. I had previously heard from Lord Rayleigh saying that he had authorised you to let me have the barium-radium salt. Would you please keep it until I can begin work upon it? Now that I am formally authorised to receive it I am making arangments to devote a special room and certain special apparatus to the inquiry and this will take a day or two to get ready. Yours very truly, T E Thorpe. P.S. Could I see the correspondence on the matter, or so much of it as relates to the origin supposed purity of the material?'. |
