Creator | Le Maistre; Charles Delacour (1874-1953) |
Date | 23 October 1918 |
Description | Acknowledges a previous correspondence regarding the withdrawal of the Allies from International Associations and the formation of new ones. Expresses interest in learning about the constitution of the Conference and the Academies represented there. Shares information about the recent formation of an International Aircraft Standards Commission under government aegis. The Commission comprises five National Aircraft Standards Committees from Canada, France, Great Britain, Italy, and the United States. Additional self-governing countries can join the Commission upon approval by a Plenary Meeting. The decision to name the Commission "International" rather than "Inter-Allied" was made to include neutrals. A recent conference, attended by government representatives from the Aircraft Production Departments of the principal Allied countries, laid a solid foundation for future work, with details being organised immediately. The next meeting is scheduled for Paris in December or early January. Seeks any advice or decisions from the Royal Society Conference that may impact the title of the Commission. |
