DescriptionThe Board of Education is organising a centenary exhibition commemorating James Watt (1736-1819) at the Science Museum from July to October and request contributions from the Royal Society, particularly original letters by Watt on the composition of water. If the originals are unavailable, requests excerpts from the Philosophical Transactions instead. Additionally seeks the loan of a marble bust of James Watt by Hefferman after Chantrey. Requests the Society to complete and return an enclosed form if they agree to contribute [enclosure not present].
Includes an internal Royal Society memorandum, dated 26 June 1919.
