DescriptionIn response to Dr [Gideon Algernon] Mantell's letter at the last Council meeting, Owen lists a number of plates from various volumes of the 'Philosophical Transactions', which are relevant to his work on British fossil reptiles. He acknowledges Mantell's prior influence and work in the field and recounts prior communication received from Mantell, which he had interpreted as cordial.
