CreatorWeldon; Walter Frank Raphael (1860-1906)
Date8 March 1887
DescriptionWelsdon refers to describing the Balanoglossus larva found in the Bahamas, at the last meeting of the Royal Society, and discusses the larva after completion of its pelagic life. Weldon enquires if the Council of the Society would be able to use its 'influence' with the Admiralty, which would allow him passage 'on a government vessel cruising in the region', and if the Captain would allow Weldon to use a tow net at intervals. Welson proposes to apply for a grant of £50 from the Government Research Fund.
