DescriptionThorpe sent Rix's letter dated 22 [March 1887] to his assistant, H A Lawrance, who was in charge of packing the telescope, lent to Thorpe for the eclipse expedition. Lawrance is under the impression the reading micriscope was lost in Grenada, and he is unable to find it. Thorpe directed Lawrance to refers the matter to Captain Abney. Thorpe will ensure the missing microscope is 'replaced without delay'.
