Description'Sir, Referring to Mr Fowke's letter of the 1st March last, in which you were requested to be good enough to move the President and Council of the Royal Society to grant the Solar Physics Committee a loan of the Ely sun pictures from the beginning of 1874, I am directed to state that the Committee would be glad to be informed whether its request can be granted. I am, Sir, Your obedient servant, A J R Trendell'.
