Enclosed is a copy of a letter from Warren de la Rue, Chairman of the Kew Committee to the President and Council of the Royal Society, dated 31 May 1887, regarding the expense of an extension to the Kew Observatory. As well as a copy of a letter from John Evans, Treasurer of the Royal Society to Warren de la Rue, dated 25 June 1887, informing that the Royal Society have agreed to grant the proposed sum to the Kew Committee for an extension. |
