DescriptionCurrie sends a copy of a letter from the [British] Ambassador at Paris 'stating that the French government will render every assistance to the proposed mission to Senegambia which the Royal Society proposed to send to that colony for the purpose of observing the eclipse of the sun in April next'. Refers to a note from Monsieur Ribot, which Lord Dufferin encloses a copy of 'states that the French Minister of Public Instruction point out that there are three places which are specially suitable for the occupation of the mission'.

Enclosed is a copy of a letter from Lord Dufferin to the Earl of Rosebery, dated 10 November 1892, consisting of three pages, regarding the proposed mission to Senegambia for observing the eclipse. Enclosed is a copy of a letter from Ribot to Lord Dufferin, dated 8 November 1892, consisting of five pages, in French.
