Description'Sir, I am directed by the President to inform you that your letter of [December 1902] inviting the Royal Society to take part in the Onoranze to the Memory of Father Secchi on the 26th February next has been taken into consideration. The officers of the Society recognize the scientific eminence of Father Secchi, whom the Society had the honour of [?] among its Foreign Members. They do not however see their way to propose that the Royal Society should take part officially in the approaching Commemoration. I am sir, You obedient servant'.
