Refers to Larmor's telegram regarding Stokes Memorial Meeting. Sir Michael Foster's telegram to Larmor was sent in receipt of a letter from the Vice Chancellor informing that he 'personally' would prefer Friday [handwritten annotation notes Larmor telegraphed that Thursday's date will stand, and the Duke of Devonshire will attend].
