Title | Letter from [Robert William Frederick] Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society, to Dr [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Harrison; Robert Frederick William (1858-1945) |
Date | 10 March 1903 |
Description | Harrison asks Larmor if hse should be 'justified' in giving special advertisement to the Volcanic Report of Anderson & Flett. He is concerned that because the paper is printed in the Philosophical Transactions 'it might be considered invidious to specially advertise one paper rather than another'. Remarks if properly advertised it will 'command a considerbale sale', and contribute to the revenue of the year. If Larmor agrees to a special advertisement, Harrison suggests 'Nature', 'Science (the American paper)'. Includes handwritten notes by [Joseph Larmor]. |
