| Description | Ross refers to his proposition to publish a paper on 'a blood-sucking maggot found in the Congo State' by Drs Dutton, Todd and Christy, and his subsequent request for the paper to be withdrawn as he received information from Mr E E Austen, of the British Museum, that the contents of the ppaer was not new. However, Ross has received further communication from Mr Austen in which it appears the subject matter of the paper 'is both new and interesting', therefore would be 'unnecessary to withdraw the article'. Ross sends Austen's two letters [enclosure's not present]. |
