DescriptionNeumayer thanks Harrison for sending Professor Rucker's paper on the permeability of rocks, and apologises for the trouble he has caused in requesting the original magnetic observations from Melbourne [1858-1864], for his invenstigation into magnetic storms in 1859. If his inquiry is unsuccessful Neumayer will ask the Melbourne Observatory to send the documents, but he hopes Harrison may be able to find the 'mislaid documents'.
