DescriptionReflecting on the past 50 years of his Fellowship and the changes made to the election process as well as the review process of submitted papers. Granville is critical of withheld thanks for a book he offered the Society.

Attached to the letter is a postscript note of three pages, which contains a copy of his own certificate of ballot from November 1817 to prove his own legitimate election. This postscript is labelled within the volume as MC/8/413a.
