DescriptionMaterial relating to the fund created under the estate of Dr. Rudolf Messel. The Royal Society was to apply the interest on the capital sum 'in such a manner as it may think most conducive to the furtherance of scientific research and such other scientific objects as the Council of the Society may determine'.
