TitleCopy of letter from J D Griffith Davies, Assistant Secretary to the Royal Society to Sir William Bragg PRS
Date29 March 1940
Description ' I am enclosing a letter which has come for you from the Mayor of Northampton.

Would you like to report it to the next meeting of Council? I mentioned to Sir Henry Lyons that 17 April would be the 150th anniversary of Franklin's death, and I believe that he proposes to ask Sir Albert Seward to write something for 'Notes and Records' to mark the occasion.

Mr John Brown, the second secretary of the American Embassy, phoned this morning to say that the Ambassador would like to be present at the Pilgrim Trust Lecture on 13 June and the he would llike to receive a copu of the summary of Dr Henderson's paper. I promised that this would be sent to him when it comes to hand. '
