Date7 October 1939
DescriptionTreasury has no knowledge of the procedure under which the funds contributed by different countries are administered. In forwarding the application of the General Secretary of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics, it will be necessary to explain the whole position precisely. Asks for the report of the Union for 1937 and a bank statement concerning what is being held on account of the International Council. Will then draft a letter to the Treasury. Has also asked the Union of Geodesy for such information.
