TitleLetter from Sir Henry George Lyons to Mr Hill, The Old Cottage, Shackleford nr Godalming
Date23 October 1939
DescriptionLyons will do any Committee work that Hill may wish and that it is clear he can perform usefully. F E Smith discussed the Yarrow Educational Fund with him. Lyons came on the Gassiot committee when he replaced Sir G[eorge] Darwin on the Meteorological Committee. Lyons misses city life and jokes that writing is not easy amidst a running conversation of local topics.
