TitleCopy letter from John David Griffith Davies to Sir Henry George Lyons, [Royal Society]
Date11 November 1939
DescriptionDavies proposes spending this week tidying up the index of 'The Record', having noted errors before printing. The printers are having difficulty with quick deliveries of plates and binding material. Asks if Lyons would like to include names of this years medalists and the name of Professor Merton as his successor in the Treasureship. Encloses a draft of a circular referring to the publication of 'The Record' for approval [not attached]. Mentions the possibility of forty letters from late Professor [Athur] Smithells being deposited with the [Royal] Society, not to be opened until 1987.
