DescriptionContains a letter from David Christie Martin, the Assistant Secretary, to Buxton announcing the Council's authorisation of a grant of up to £400 to him from the Darwin Fund, stating that the money is to cover the costs of a biologist to be sent to Sudan in the dry season, beginning January 1954, to collect information and material connected with the reproductive physiology of shot animals and their parasites.

Also contains a brief note of acknowledgement from Buxton to Martin for a cheque for £5. 12 shillings and four pence to Miss Kellas. He sends thanks that they made it so easy to adjust the small additional expenditure.
