Includes discussion of: the conditions John Foulerton wished to place on operation of the Fund, namely that both sexes be eligible for the fund, that candidates must show British nationality for at least three generations, and that the money not be spent on property; Kempe's meeting with Miss Foulerton to discuss the transfer; the fact of dividends being paid directly to the Royal Society rather than their bankers; receipts of money received from Lucy Foulerton, and the purchase of War Stock; a typed memorandum summarising the terms of the John Foulerton Fund, which removes the condition against money being spent on property, signed by Lucy A. Foulerton.
