Description"Valerius Cordus was the son of Ennius Cordues, was born in 1515, and was unfortunately, when on his way to Rome in 1544, killed by a horse. His works are rare and the editions Xiosionides which he published are still thought valuable".

MM/1/23 and MM/1/24 describe Banks giving a copy of a work by Cordus to Thomas Pollfield.
