Description | Rumford comments on his forthcoming journey to Calais in a neutral vessel in company with Marc Auguste Pictet. He adds that he he hopes to be in Munich in a fortnight and to return to London in December.
Rumford also comments on Dr Thomas Young ("a great acquisition") and Humphry Davy (he "may do very well, if he gets the better of his natural disposition to be idle and to procrastinate").
