DescriptionFussell sends details of a bust portrait he has acquired, which is inscribed on the back, "Nicolao Copernico, presented to the Royal Society by Dr Wolf of Dautzie, 6th day of June 1776".

Fussell asks if the Society wishes to examine the portrait with a view to acquiring it.

Letter has pencil addition: "I can find no mention of this in the Council Minutes".

'The Royal Society Catalogue of Portraits', by Norman Robinson states that the bust portrait of Copernicus was presented to the Royal Society by Dr NM Wolf of Danzig in 1776.
