TitleLetter from James Frederic Danielli, Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole Massachusetts, to 'Dear Ned'
Datec.1933-1935
DescriptionDanielli is pleased that his correspondent has a job. Encloses a final $25 with an instruction to send it to the Labour Monthly if not needed. Woods Hole is easy after the 'tough stuff of Princeton'. Describes study groups. Proposes a mass meeting to campaign for the 2nd Congress of the American League Against War and Fascism. News of campaigns including a symposium on the breakdown of the disarmament conference. He is spending more time with people who have problems in surface and colloid chemistry, but needs some dull but careful students to work on them. Asks what has happend to Hugh [at University College, likely Hugh Davson]. Wants to know if he is still interested in permeability, since they worked out a theory together which now appears valuable. Some simple experiments would contribute to 'a very nice little paper'.
