DescriptionForwarding the observations he and Nevil Maskelyne made in relation to Schiehallion.

The observations were to determine the earth's density by measuring the deviation of a plumb line produced by the gravitational attraction of the mountain Schiehallion in Perthshire, and by observing stars near the zenith on both the north and south sides of the mountain.
