DescriptionOrder of Merit on presentation ribbon. Order consists of a golden crown from which is suspended a red enamelled cross, centred by a disk of blue enamel, surrounded by a laurel wreath, and bearing in gold lettering the words 'FOR MERIT'. The ribbon of the Order is divided into stripes of red and blue and arranged in a bow. Women traditionally carry theirs pinned to their left shoulder. With red leather carry box.
