Title | Letter from John Allan Broun, Lausanne, Switzerland to Edward Sabine |
Date | 16 January 1867 |
Description | Broun refers to the proceedings of the Royal Society regarding arrangements to be made for the purpose of carrying out the government meteorological scheme. Broun notes few people have studied methods for observing and deducing results in as much depth as he has. If the government requires a scientific officer for such purposes, Broun would like to be considered for the role. Refers to his work in India. As Broun is no longer in the service of the Rajah of Travancore, he is able to take his time in putting his work to press and refers to employing assistants. |
