TitleOn the mathematical expression of observations of complex periodical phenomena, and on planetary influences on the earth's magnetism by Charles Chambers and Frederick Chambers
Date19th century
DescriptionDetermination using [Friedrich Wilhelm] Bessel’s method a mathematical expression for periodical phenomenon from observations affected by one or more other periodical phenomena. The application of processes described to determine whether these periodical transaction of disturbances of magnetic declination at [Mumbai] Bombay are due to the influence of the planet’s mercury, venus and the earth, in the period of their respective revolutions. Includes three tables depicting the observed and calculated values of aggregate (easterly and westerly) disturbance or mercury, venus and earth (diminished by a constant value).
