Title | Letter from James Rennell, London to [Edward Sabine] |
Date | 17 June 1822 |
Description | Rennell refers to recovering the use of his right hand but is still in pain. Rennell thanks Sabine for a picture of the ‘new settlement of Bathurst’, however he is unable to ‘approve of the site’ as a better could have been chosen and refers to mangroves as ‘sad neighbours’. Refers to Sabine’s plans to travel to St Thomas, and the determination of the longitude and latitude of the island. |
