Title | Letter from Balfour Stewart, Kew Observatory to Edward Sabine |
Date | 29 August 1865 |
Description | Discussion regarding a spot on the sun in August and its disappearance. Thanks Sabine for his corrections to a report. Discussion regarding disturbances, absolute force, and ‘exhibiting photolithographic traces’. Refers to Colonel Walker’s letter regarding his intention to make temperature observations and remarks on the link to pendulum observations. Stewart is ‘glad’ Walker is taking this on as he cannot see Mr [Benjamin] Loewy being able to ‘undertake it’. |
