Description | Regarding the arrangement, size, tables, and printing of forms [for recording observations]. Welsh has sent Mr Glover copies of these forms with the explanations and tables filled with the constant determined for his instrument. Welsh also wrote ‘directions supplementary to those contained in the admiralty manual’ for Mr Glover. Welsh describes filling in forms using observations made by a unifilar. Discussion regarding the sun’s azimuth, and Mr [Christopher] Hansteen’s dip circle. Welsh clarifies a misunderstanding regarding the number of instruments [Henry] Barrow should be making. Reference to photographic instruments. |
