Commencing: 'I, John Wallis of the University of Oxford Doctor in Divinity and Professor of Geometry there...' Signed by John Wallis. Sealed and delivered in the presence of Michael Wicks and Richard Shortgrave. Endorsed verso.

With a second manuscript bond beneath the standard document: 'London. February 22 1675. At Mr Oldenburg's. I Edward Bernard Professor of Astronomy in the University of Oxon doe request to worthy Dr Wallis my good Colleague & Deputy to pay for me in like manner as he does for himself my duty to the Royall Society & it shall be humbly acknowldg'd allow'd & repay'd by me upon my return to England, if God wills.'
