DescriptionInforms of the decision of the Council to grant permission to Mr. Roberton to give a copy of David Brewser's paper 'On the compensations of polarized light, with the description of a polarimeter for Measuring Degrees of Polarization'. Explains the original paper cannot be returned, as it is the policy of the Royal Society to deposit in an archive any paper received, but can grant copies to the author or any other.
