DescriptionApologises for not replying sooner to the letter dated 24 June. Informs that the 30 copies of the Meteorological Observations for 1840-44 have now been distributed to the members of the Committee of Physics and Meteorology in Demidoff's name. Also informs of the regret and great loss of the Royal Society at the news that much of Demidoff's works have been damaged.
