Title | Copy letter from C R [Charles Richard] Weld, the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Mr [William] Tite |
Date | 11 May 1855 |
Description | Directed by Col. [Edward] Sabine to forward the documents relating to Mr Bate's claim [not enclosed]. When asked for a letter from the Treasury to recognise Bate's claim, Bate answered that a letter could not be provided. Informs that Mr Spooner implies the Treasury has not recognised his claim. Asks for the Committee to take these into consideration before Weld writes to Mr Grove of their opinion. [See MS/426/538, MS/426/523, MS/426/559 and MS/426/562] |
